Our Roadmap: From Kabaddi to the Metaverse

companyroadmap

Smart Kabaddi is a product. The sensor matrix underneath it is a platform. Here’s how we’re sequencing what comes next.

Phase 1 — Smart Kabaddi (in progress)

Our current focus: research, conceptual design, and a filed patent application covering the core sensor matrix and detection method. This phase is about proving the platform in the hardest conditions we could find — high contact, high speed, low visibility for cameras — before we generalize it.

Phase 2 — Wrestling & Volleyball

The same sensor matrix that resolves a kabaddi boundary call maps naturally onto Olympic wrestling mats, where boundary detection and scoring assistance face a similar problem: fast, high-contact action at the edge of a marked surface. Volleyball’s line-call use case is a further natural fit. Neither requires reinventing the sensing layer — mostly re-engineering the form factor and integration for each sport’s mat and rules.

Phase 3 — Broadcast & Metaverse

Two directions open up once the sensor data exists in real time: a broadcast analytics suite that turns pressure heatmaps into a live viewer-facing overlay, and a metaverse haptic layer that translates real mat-pressure data into full-body locomotion feedback for immersive virtual sport. Both are downstream of the same underlying data stream — they’re presentation layers on top of infrastructure we’re already building for Phase 1.

Why we’re sequencing it this way

Each phase funds and de-risks the next: Smart Kabaddi proves the hardware and the latency budget in the field, Phase 2 proves the platform generalizes across sports, and Phase 3 proves the same data stream has value beyond officiating. We’ll keep posting engineering and milestone updates here as each phase moves.
